Monumental Minions
The project aims to address escalating household waste generation and unsafe disposal, leading to open burning and residual dumping in Yogyakarta’s Piyungan–Bawuran corridor following the Piyungan landfill closure. We will develop a single-day edu-tourism package together with Monumen Antroposen, through which participants will learn more about the plastic incineration community, plastic consumption and the circular economy. This is to encourage them to make simple lifestyle changes that will reduce waste generation and unsafe disposal. This will involve (1) curating and operationalise the first run of an educational programme that showcases the above-mentioned issues; (2) empowering the local community by training them to be programme facilitators and educators for the edu-tourism package; and (3) exploring creative expressions that celebrates the process of collaboration throughout the project.Monumental Minions

Our group intends to work alongside the Ibu-ibu from OH Darling to strengthen the care and passion for environmental preservation in the BOCIL kids. We wish to provide activities through workshops that are easy to learn but also for their daily life. These workshops will also be opened to the parents of the children such that the learnings will be more encouraged at home. These workshops will then be translated into storybooks which act as future teaching materials. These books will also be a joint effort between us and the community, with us hoping to have the art contributed by an artist and children of Cibunut. Suara Cibunut (Cibunut's Voices)

Our project addresses the issue of unhealthy eating habits among youths and children in urban Cambodia, where diets often consist of highly processed foods, fried proteins and heavy carbohydrates such as rice. These habits contribute to rising health concerns and a lack of nutritional awareness. To tackle this, we are collaborating with celebrity chef Rotanak Ros, known for promoting traditional Cambodian cuisine. Together, we will conduct interactive cooking classes in schools, reintroducing Cambodian cultural dishes to the children. In this way, we hope to encourage children to make healthier food choices and incorporate more vegetables into their meals. Our pilot programme will be launched at SGCIS, an English-medium school that brings together both local and international students. Through this initiative, we aim to foster long-term awareness of balanced nutrition and inspire children to take an active interest in healthy cooking, ultimately improving their well-being and dietary habits.Nourish@Cambodia

Children from low-income families face a widening academic achievement gap due to limited resources, low motivation, and insufficient structured support. Although volunteer tutoring exists, structural issues—such as volunteers not making sufficient effort to align their guidance with the PSLE syllabus and the difficulty of maintaining sustainability—often lead to inconsistent and ineffective teaching. We engage with children under the MKFC programme. These children are typically from families with low financial resources, aged 7 to 16, and live near the centre. By catering to each child's needs and teaching the children in small groups, we aim to provide a supportive space for the children to learn and build strong foundations before entering a new stage of life.Team Saplings

Creative Extracurricular Syllabus for Deaf Children in Da Lat City
Creative Extracurricular Syllabus for Deaf Children in Da Lat City
IEXpressions, OurEXpressions.
Our project aims to create a curriculum of a series of workshops that aim to facilitate creative expression through the use of physical theatre for the deaf students at Lam Dong Centre, in Da Lat, Vietnam. Firstly, we hope to create an instructional manual in Vietnamese for a reproducible curriculum that can be tweaked or segmented to apply to other educational pursuits by the Centre’s teaching staff, and work with them in finishing one iteration of it during the course of our project. Our curriculum would aim to introduce concepts of creative expression to our participants, culminating in a finished mini-theatrical or artistic product. IEXpressions, OurEXpressions.
