Team Sabah MOK-ingjays
Kampung Tagibang is a geographically remote community in Kota Marudu, Sabah, where limited accessibility makes timely access to professional healthcare especially challenging during emergencies. Our project, Projek Sehat-ihat-ibang, aims to strengthen the kampung’s healthcare resilience by building on the community’s existing knowledge, resourcefulness, and strong social ties. Working alongside Pangrok Sulap as our local project partner and advisor, we will co-develop basic healthcare education, first-aid and CPR training, simple emergency-response procedures, and accessible household health materials with residents. We also hope to identify and train community focal persons who can help retain and share this knowledge over time.In parallel, we will explore and, with residents’ consent, document selected traditional health knowledge and practices already present within the kampung. Our targets include engaging around 20 residents in first-aid activities, training at least three community focal persons, and providing emergency health guides to at least 70% of participating households. Ultimately, we hope to strengthen residents’ confidence, preparedness, and ownership of healthcare practices in a way that remains practical and sustainable beyond our involvement.Project Country: Malaysia

Project Sihat
Our project focuses on the Rohingya Refugees in Malaysia, specifically residing in the Kuala Lumpur area. The women often lack knowledge on sexual health, due to the conservative nature of their community and their lack of formal schooling, and this results in practices and myths that are detrimental to their health and wellbeing. We plan on creating training materials and facilitator tools that can be used by Community Leaders to educate the general public, and enhance knowledge on sexual health, specifically menstruation.Project Country: Malaysia
